Characters

Sage (they/he)

Sage is a feyling who travelled from the Feywild to the Material Plane. They are very tall, with green skin and twisting, bark-like horns, and long braided hair with leaves, flowers, and twigs caught up in it. They're a laid-back soul who much prefers the outdoors to city life, preferring to have a clear night sky above their head than the comforts of a bed.
Sage hasn't talked much about his past, keeping it mostly to himself, though a few details have slipped through in the songs he writes - seems like there was heartbreak in his recent past.
They met Maggot while travelling around Lochore, and was invited to come live with her and her mom Mia for a while. Sage spent some time helping out around the apartment and working odd-jobs, but when they came across a job to deliver a package to Easthollow, they jumped at the oportunity to be on the road again. Lochore did not suit him, and he was glad to get out of the soot-covered city ASAP.

Thelonius "Theo" Janus Mikhail Alcorta Drakos (he/him)

Theo is a young high elf from the elven lands of Palenthos. His family belong to the elven High Lords, and specialise in evocation magic. He is tall with dark hair and amber eyes, with a tired look on his face. Theo has had a sheltered upbringing and is unfamiliar with many things in the world. On top of that, he is the youngest in the group, so the others tend to keep an eye out for him. Theo doesn't think he needs to be coddled, but he also has a penchant for rushing into things blindly. His family are a sore spot for him, as he had an argument with them before deciding to run away from home. Everyone in the Drakos line has been an amazing mage, but Theo has no magical abilities, which has caused a rift between him and the rest of his family. After leaving home Theo soon ran into Zap, who took him under his wing. The two travelled together for a while before coming across a job in Lochore to deliver a package to Easthollow village. On the job they met Sage and Maggot, and the four began travelling together.

Zaphyr "Zap" (he/him)

Zap is a half elf pirate and was part of the crew of the Golden Serpent. He grew up with them before setting out on his own to find treasure and adventure. Zap is a short red-head with a dry sense of humour and a dead-pan affect. Zap is a fairly private person, only sharing details of his past and rarely the bigger picture. He's often the one in the group to keep a cool head, as well being the sneakiest of the bunch. Zap met Theo while he was travelling the world and took pity on him, so the two began to travel together. They met Sage and Maggot after taking a delivery job in Lochore, and the four began to travel together.

Magdalyn “Maggot” Nash (she/her)

Magdalyn Nash is a half elf born and raised in the city of Lochore. She grew up with her mother, Mia, in a small apartment in the Rend, and since a young age has been helping to provide in the household with part-time jobs. She's a hard worker, and her diligence and love of writing awarded her with a scholarship to Blessed Lyra's Academy of the Arts, where she studied for four years before returning to Lochore when her novel tanked. Since then she has been working hard to pay off her crippling debt (25,000gp) and trying to find a way for her and her mom to leave Lochore.
She met Sage when she found them sleeping in a park in Lochore, and took them in once she found out he had no where to stay. Sage moved into the apartment with Maggot and Mia for a while, taking on jobs and helping around the house. Maggot also has another friend she met in Lochore, her giant cursed dragon sword Talion.
She had taken a delivery job and when she came to pick up the package, it was a giant crate that needed to be hauled up to the Plate. Maggot dragged it half way up Lochore, before she stumbled and fell, dropping the crate and sending its contents flying. In a panic she tried to fix the box and picked up the strange bundle that had lain inside, inadvertently touching the hilt of the cursed sword. It came to life in her hands and the two became bound in some horrifying way. Now Talion talks to her all the time in her mind, whether she likes it or not.
This is where she got the nickname "Maggot". Talion just sort of bullied her for a few months and it unfortunately stuck.

Talion (he/him)

Talion is a large cursed sword with the soul of a red dragon trapped inside of it. How he was turned from a dragon into a sword is 'none of your business', as he'd say, but it must have happened before dragons went extinct over 500 years ago. Talion is a rude, selfish, arrogant, cruel, and petty creature who enjoys putting others down to make himself look better and trying to start fights with anyone who doesn't worship him. As a sword he is a little over two meters tall, with a pale white stone shell covering a disgusting, fleshy interior, combined with a large reptilian eye, and a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. As a dragon he has described himself as being large and red. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Talion met Maggot while she was delivering him as part of her job, and she accidentally dropped him. In picking him up, the two were forced into a pact and Talion awoke from a long slumber. Since then he has tormented her, coining the nickname 'Maggot' for her. Since Talion can speak telepathically to Maggot through their pact, she has picked up the bad habit of calling herself Maggot too.
His nicknames for the others in the group are "Goat/Sheep" for Sage, and "Elf" for Theo. He somehow forgets that Zap and Maggot are different people just because both of them are short. What an asshole.
